Twenty-one community programs were honored April 29,
2000, at a marvelous event at Epcot. Hosted by our
friends at the Walt Disney Company and Epcot, the 2000 La Promesa de un
Futuro Brillante Gala was an exciting
affair, a perfect compliment to the extraordinary work of our honorees.
With the addition of these winners, there are now 100 La Promesa Programs recognized for their exemplary work on behalf of
Latino children. These are the experts that know what works. With support
from the Ronald McDonald House Charities, NLCI brings them together annually to explore
issues that affect the community and strategies to find solutions. Guided by their expertise, we’re creating
exciting new programs for building sustainable communities.
